For AW16, the edgy Dutch mid-market brand, Scotch and Soda made their NYFW debut.

Entitled “Wondrous Wanders” this drew on four characters from four locations - China, Norway, Tibet and Scotland. Bringing different parts of the world together for a global mash-up.

Even before Gucci put together mens and womenswear , the Dutch brand launched in the 1980s which now has 100 stores worldwide, used models of both sexes.

The strongest theme was a folkish boho vibe. Bomber jackets with embroidery and floral details. Tassels, loose shapes and autumnal palettes including claret, black and khaki. The wondrous shades and textures showcased, will make a great addition to the trending pieces, that you should be including to your wardrobe. Reviving the fresh mind with terracotta, khaki and the brilliant use of combining different cultures engaged the audience with a truly, fascinating show. I’m sure, everyone around the world can agree that the Amsterdam Couture rocket launched its NYFW debut.
